Port-au-Prince - Hilton Worldwide says it will build a new hotel in Haiti.

The company announced that the 152-room hotel will be built near the Port-au-Prince international airport. It will open in 2016 and will be owned by a Haitian company named CAB, S.A.

Hotel rooms meeting international standards were once hard to come by in the Caribbean country. But several major chains have built hotels in the Haitian capital's metropolitan area since the 2010 earthquake. A Best Western Premier opened last year and a Marriott International is to open next year.
