Johannesburg - Located within the heart of Cosmos countryside, an hour’s drive from Joburg, Welgelegen Manor is steeped in history.

It was commissioned and built in 1912 by architect, Sir Herbert Baker, and is a country retreat that combines 19th century charm with luxury.

Staying true to the manor’s English residential style, the eight suites combine comfort with the glamour and heritage associated with the house.

Each suite, including the bathroom, offers style and comfort.

Guests are offered views over the landscaped terraces, the pool or the rose gardens.

Make your stay, family or romantic, one to remember and escape the city stress with a relaxing break at Welgelegen Manor.

Be it a quiet walk through the surrounds enjoying the abundant birdlife, relaxing with a book in the rose gardens or at the pool, or taking an English country afternoon tea, you will feel rejuvenated and eager to return.

For the more active, there are country walks, archery, lawn tennis, croquet and billiards.

There is a well maintained grass strip for fly-in visits.
