Cape Town - Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection hasannounced the expansion of their in-suite butler service commencing in 2016 throughout their award-winning European fleet.

True to the Uniworld commitment to deliver a superior experience at every level, guests staying in suites onboard the one-of-a-kind ships will find their every need attended to by Uniworld's renowned butlers.

Trained under the tutelage of Zita Langenstein of England's Ivor Spencer Butler School, Uniworld butlers provide the unsurpassed level of service found at the finest hotels and royal houses, including Buckingham Palace.

“We are proud to expand our in-suite butler service throughout our award-winning European fleet. Uniworld has the highest staff-to-guest ratio of all river cruise lines, and increasing the number of highly trained professionals onboard our ships ensures individualised, superior service and an industry-leading level of excellence that our guests deserve,” said Jolene Campbell, brand manager for Uniworld.

Uniworld currently offers in-suite butler service on the River Beatrice, S.S. Antoinette, S.S. Catherine, and S.S. Maria Theresa.

“Being a Uniworld butler means providing a supreme standard of service that goes above and beyond to create memorable moments for our guests,” said Valentin Gradescu, head corporate butler for Uniworld. “A few years ago, we organised a limousine transfer from the train station to the ship for a couple who had travelled with us many times before. I knew this couple and wanted to provide a warm welcome.

Upon their arrival, there I was, ready to greet them wearing my uniform with white gloves on and a fresh white rose on my lapel. When they saw me, they were speechless and incredibly impressed by the personalised touch. This is one of many examples of how Uniworld butlers strive to provide an unprecedented level of anticipatory service.”

In addition to butler service, every suite in the Uniworld fleet is uniquely decorated to be one-of-a-kind, yet all suites share the same exacting standards and signature touches for which Uniworld is known. Providing the perfect combination of timeless elegance with modern conveniences, each Uniworld suite includes hand-crafted Savoir of England beds-the same beds found in the finest hotels in Europe-complete with the highest quality linens, fluffy duvets, and guests' choice of pillows. Italian marble lined bathrooms offer unmatched comforts from heated towel warmers and luxurious rain showers, to Hermès and L'Occitane en Provence bath and body products.

Added in-suite amenities include laundry and shoeshine service, in-suite breakfast prepared by talented master chefs, a daily fresh fruit plate and freshly baked homemade delights, a Nespresso coffee machine and a fine selection of teas, a refrigerator well-stocked with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as personalised exercise training and wellness services.

Uniworld currently offers in-suite butler service on the River Beatrice, S.S. Antoinette, S.S. Catherine, and S.S. Maria Theresa. In 2016, the in-suite butler service will extend to all ships in Europe, excluding Portugal and Russia.
