MSC Cruises, the world’s largest privately-owned cruise line and the market leader in the Mediterranean and in South America, is celebrating the maiden call in Hamburg of MSC Splendida – the most capacious cruise ship ever to call at Germany’s top cruise port.

MSC Splendida is the first ship from the Company’s flagship “Fantasia” generation – the largest and newest – to be based at the northern German port.

The 333 metre-long, 38 metre-wide and 1 637-cabin MSC Splendida will homeport in Hamburg for the summer season, making 13 sailings around northern Europe, encompassing the British Isles, the Norwegian fjords and Iceland.

As well the outright luxury of the MSC Yacht Club – the exclusive ship within a ship – MSC Splendida’s amenities include 20 bars, six restaurants, five swimming pools, including a large aqua park, 4D cinema, Formula One motor racing simulator and manifold wellness, sports and family options.
