Johannesburg - The weekend of December 14 to 16 has been set aside for De Hoek Country House’s ballooning adventure weekend, in conjunction with Air Ventures Hot Air Ballooning. The Magaliesberg mountain range, where this country hotel is situated, is an ideal area for this activity.
Weekend guests taking advantage of this event will be welcomed to De Hoek on Friday and, after their welcome, will be briefed by the balloon pilots on the weekend’s activities. Once everyone’s appetite for adventure has been whet, guests will be treated to one of De Hoek’s signature dinners.
Early morning on Saturday sees adventurers gather on De Hoek’s lawns at dawn to enjoy coffee and rusks before the ballooning gets under way.
When the hour of ballooning is over, the hotel chefs will be waiting to serve a sumptuous breakfast. The rest of Saturday morning is at your leisure. A light lunch precedes optional boules, archery or other on-site activity before high tea and the evening’s five-course meal with wine pairing.
Breakfast will end the weekend for guests on Sunday morning.
At a cost of R9 995 per couple, all inclusive, the De Hoek Ballooning Experience is an indulgent adventure.
