Africa's Ultimate Safaris

By Ian Thompson & Shirli Carswell,

Wildside Safari Company

Paging through this 192-page coffee table book is like looking through an old-fashioned photo album of somebody’s favourite holiday snaps.

Most of the book has magnificent photos of animals, views and venues. It includes Shiril’s meticulously drawn maps. It covers the top 10 bucket list safari destinations in Africa.

The rest is information, facts about the different counties and places to look out for. You can read about the 10 different safaris they did, and use the information as a guide to plan your own trip, on where to stay and what to do.

Most of us will never get to see all the countries mentioned but there are trips closer to home like Okavango Delta, Kruger Park, Victoria Falls, Namibia and a trip to the Cape on Rovos Rail that can be done.

Ian and Shirli’s Wildside Company specialises in travel. Years of travelling through Africaon expeditions has given them a wealth of knowledge. For every 10 tourists visiting, a job is created. With every copy of this book sold a donation will be made to the Endangered Wildlife Trust.
