In January 2015 Insight Vacations will operate their first departure in Egypt since the destination was closed to tourists following the civil uprising in 2011.

Pieter Beyers, general manager for Insight Vacations, says the company has been keeping a close eye on the political and social situation in Egypt and agreed that the time is right to re-enter this destination. “We have consulted with our ground handlers and are confident that we can help rebuild tourism in this amazing country.

“We have had a long standing history with Egypt and we wish to continue this tradition. As a destination Egypt should be an essential component on any serious travellers bucket list.

Insight Vacations has four Egyptian itineraries on offer, the first of which departs on 8 January. Global CEO John Boulding will be joining this itinerary and with the experienced ground staff and exceptional Tour Directors that Insight Vacations offers this tour is sure to tick all the boxes.

Beyers continues “our guests will enjoy a range of superb Signature experiences, dining and hotel accommodation in the true fashion of Insight Vacations. And safety and security will always be top of mind.”

Wonders of Egypt is priced from R22 700 per person twin share and includes 8 nights in Egypt discovering the pyramids of Giza, cruising down the legendary Nile River and taking in over 5000 years of history from Luxor to the Valley of the Kings.
