Fancy a wee dram? Busabout's day trip to the Highlands will have you tasting the “water of life”.

When you think of Scotland what is the first thing that comes to mind? Besides men in kilts who don't wear any underwear... It's got to be the water of life - whisky! Join Busabout on a fabulous day tour that explores much of Scotland's iconic scenery, sights and experiences.

From the ancient capital of Edinburgh and stories of Scotland's most famous patriot (William Wallace) to stunning Highland landscapes, Busabout will give you the opportunity to sample a drop of our favourite national drink for a complete 'taste of Scotland'!

On leaving Edinburgh, travel to the ancient Scottish capital of Stirling, its skyline dominated by its castle and the iconic Wallace Monument. Stop to hear of Scotland's most famous patriot and his part in the medieval Wars of Independence.

On the drive further into the Highlands take the chance to spot one of Scotland's famous residents, the 'Hairy Coo'. Then travel through the scenic beauty of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Pass the shimmering beauty of Loch Earn before stopping for lunch at one of Scotland's most famous whisky distilleries.

After the optional opportunity to revive yourself with a wee dram of the 'water of life', head to the Hermitage in the heart of Perthshire and take a short woodland walk to see the spectacular Black Linn Falls on the River Braan. Our return journey visits the quaint village of Dunkeld, in Macbeth country, whose stunning cathedral sits by the banks of the River Tay. We return to Edinburgh, passing the iconic Forth Bridge on the way.

Priced from R630 for adults and R580 for students, enjoy this fantastic day tour (voted five stars by Visit Scotland) between July and December 2014 departing from Edinburgh. And if you are staying on in Edinburgh you can book accommodation online on my Trip.
