To meet growing demand for exotic new destinations, Insight Vacations has added Peru to its Luxury Gold offering with the launch of its 12-day Treasures of the Incas escorted journey.
Priced from R78 500 per person twin-share, guests will explore Lima, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Cusco, Puno and Lake Titicaca at a leisurely pace. They will delve into the mysterious history of the Inca Empire as well as present culture as they meet local artisans, barter at markets, learn local crafts and take part in powerful rituals.
Guests on Insight Vacations' enhanced Luxury Gold journeys can expect to stay in the best hotels in each destination. Handpicked for their reputation and outstanding service these include the prestigious Towers of the Waldorf-Astoria - frequented by Presidents and dignitaries staying in New York, the historic Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans, the luxurious Mailani Tower at the Royal Hawaiian and Canada's sophisticated Fairmont Hotels.
Signature Experiences will remain a hallmark of Insight Vacations' Luxury Gold itineraries offering guests the opportunity to enjoy exclusive authentic activities that take in the essence of each location, such as a private cooking class at the New Orleans School of Cooking or exploring Butchart Gardens in Canada with a horticulturist.
Guests will also be treated to carefully crafted Signature Dining evenings, enjoying epicurean experiences in historic eateries, the finest award-winning restaurants, and exceptional culinary events throughout their holiday.
In 2016/17, the Luxury Gold itineraries are now all-inclusive with no optionals sold, and airport transfers include a personalised meet and greet service and private transfer to the hotel. Additionally, a number of the itineraries now feature room upgrades such as the Luxurious Hawaiian Escape itinerary which boasts upgraded Ocean View Rooms.
The programme also features two new Insight Premium escorted journeys. The 12-day Landscapes of the Canadian Maritimes itinerary offers a picturesque seaside escape visiting New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Signature Experiences include a culinary demonstration by a renowned local chef of Canadian haute cuisine featuring Digby's highly prized scallops.
The new 13-day Easy Pace American Contrasts journey brings together four of the USA's most famous cities allowing guests to experience the glamour of Los Angeles, the hills of San Francisco, the bright lights of Las Vegas and the excitement of New York, with all internal flights included.
Also new for the 2016 programme is the introduction of Relaxed Starts, identified by the symbol 'RS' to highlight those days on itineraries that guests can enjoy a leisurely start of 9am or later.
Insight Vacations is offering an Early Payment Discount of up to 10 percent off selected 2016/17 departures. Book and pay a deposit by 27 November to be in line for this discount.
