APPLE EVENT: What to expect of the new iPhone

CAPE TOWN - The world waits in anticipation for the launch of the new iPhone, there are other technologies that are expected to be announced as well.

Not only are they expected to debut the iPhone X , iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus  but also a LTE-enabled Apple Watch and updates to HomePod according to Apple News site 9to5Mac.

The latest leaks suggest the new phone will actually be called the iPhone X which is the numeral symbol for 10  will include wireless charging, facial recognition, an edge-to-edge display and for the first time there will be no home button. Apple is expected to release the device alongside two other phones, called the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. 

The Guardian reported that it has been rumored that the phone will go to be priced at close to $1,000 (R12905).

Apple news website 9to5Mac released all the leaks ahead of the event such as The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are expected to be upgraded versions of the iPhone 7, and include improvement such as better battery life. 

Leaked images show that the new display is expected to begin at the bottom of the device going up to the top, with a panel for a selfie camera, a speaker and an ear sensor cutting into the screen.  

It has also been leaked that the iPhone 8 would come with a new feature called ‘Animoji’, which uses the 3D face sensors to create custom 3D animated emoji based on the expressions you make into the camera, according to 9to5mac.
