THE BODIES of two missing Harmony Gold Mining Company employees who have been missing since a seismic event at the Kusasalethu mine near Carletonville last Friday have been found, the company said on Thursday.

“Rescue workers have located and recovered the bodies of the two remaining mineworkers who were unaccounted for,” the company said. All employees trapped underground are now accounted for. The two were among five mineworkers who were trapped following a seismic event that resulted in a fall of ground at the mine.

“Our condolences go out to the families and friends of those who lost their lives. We will continue to provide the necessary support to the families of the deceased. We are grateful to our colleagues and the scores of volunteer members of Mine Rescue Services", the company said.
