DURBAN - The official public operations for the recently registered Bank Zero are expected to launch around mid-2019.
Bank Zero is a bank that is app-driven and it offers all of their services through the app.
According to the bank, their functionality is designed with the Bank Zero app in mind and their main banking platform also supports the app and unlike other banking apps that are offered as an extra channel, the Bank Zero app is their main channel.
Currently, the bank is in the alpha-testing phase which involves a small team of people validating the end-to-end live systems and processes.
On what makes Bank Zero different from other banks in the current market, the company listed four categories including innovation that solves real needs for people and businesses, security, huge savings in bank fees and service.
The Bank Zero app and back-end design provides the user with better security through the use of cutting-edge technology and the latest thinking.
According to the bank, they are completely tech-driven which means designing core business, security and regulatory processes from the ground up.
Bank Zero say on their website that customers should move to their bank because they believe that businesses and individuals need more functionality than what is currently available.
Bank Zero was co-founded by Michael Jordaan and Yatin Narsai who serve as Bank Zero's chairperson and chief executive respectively.
