DURBAN - Flight Centre Travel Group South Africa has appointed a new chief financial officer.

Euan McNeil will be taking over the position of chief financial officer for the travel group as of September 2018. 

McNeil was previously the general manager of FCM South Africa.

According to Andrew Stark, the Managing Director of FCTG for the Middle East and Africa, McNeil has grown FCM South Africa into one of the leading corporate and management companies in South Africa. 

Stark said "Euan was quickly identified as someone with great potential after joining us in 2013 as Financial Controller for FCM and Corporate Traveller. In 2015, he was appointed FCM General Manager before moving to FCM, which he has run for three years". 

Stark added that McNeil's ability to build and analyse his business, nurture and develop a smart team around him and build significant relationships with corporate South Africa has been the foundation of is success. 

"We wish him a very successful career at the helm as CFO'" said Stark. 

McNeil who got his BCom Accounting with Honours from the University and Johannesburg previously worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers SA and US. 

He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2010. 

Taking over McNeil's position as general manager is Nicole Adonis who has worked for Flight Centre and was most recently the FCM operations director. 

"Nicole is a dynamic leader whose success is built around an influential following from her people and her brand," said Stark.
