An article titled “Hybrid energy the answer when power from Eskom’s grid falters”, which was published in Business Report on Wednesday, January 22, incorrectly referred to a chromium ore mine in Limpopo which was the first in South Africa to adopt the hybrid technology, saying the equipment was made by German photovoltaic manufacturer First Solar.
The hybrid system at the Cronimet mine was actually installed for Cronimet Energy South Africa by Solea Renewables. First Solar is a US-based company. Business Report regrets the errors.
