DURBAN – Tsogo Sun is commemorating its growing investment in Durban's tourism offering over the past five decades.

The international hotel brand has seven hotels and two resorts from Umhlanga in the north to uShaka Marine World in the south, casino and entertainment development, Suncoast.  

Tsogo Sun's nine properties together offer 1 958 rooms, 13 restaurants, eight bars, and a variety of other facilities and amenities. 

Ravi Nadasen, the chief operating officer of Tsogo Sun hotels, said: “Tsogo Sun is proud of our position as a key role player in the Durban economy." 

He said their continued investment into our local properties was a reflection of their strong confidence in the area as an attractive tourism destination for leisure and business. 

Tsogo Sun’s latest investment in Durban is a complete redevelopment of Suncoast at a cost of R1.6 billion, which will be fully completed by end 2018. 

The hotel company also has a portfolio of more than 100 hotels and 13 casino and entertainment destinations in South Africa, Africa and the Seychelles.
