FREE STATE - COSATU Free State has welcomed the sitting of the high court this week in Sasolburg to listen to the case on the death of the Regional Chairperson of CEPPWAWU and COSATU Sasolburg Local Chairperson, Comrade Mbuyiselwa Phajane Mnguni.

Mnguni's lifeless body was found dumped in a field after disappearing for more than a week.

COSATU Free State in their statement said it has been difficult for Mnguni's family, friends, and relatives as well as the community to come to terms with the brutal and undeserving death he suffered.

"As COSATU Free State, we hope and believe that the proceedings of this court would answer the questions that have been haunting us for all this time, since the incident. We all need closure on this painful matter. We would like to know where, how and whose hands did Comrade Phajane meet his seemingly violent and undue end of his life!" COSATU stated.

The Federation said they will be supporting the family, relatives, and friends.

"The spirit of Comrade Mbuyiselwa Phajane Mnguni will live on and may his soul find peace amongst the stalwarts who passed on before him. We have taken up his spear and the struggle goes on," COSATU concluded.
