CAPE TOWN - According to the recent Career Junction's review of the top ten sectors, the architecture and engineering fields are where you will earn the most money.
According to the review a senior structural engineer could earn an average of R70, 300 a month.
The demand for architecture and engineering professionals is particularly high in Gauteng, where about 50% of sector-related recruitment takes place, the index revealed.
Other than the engineering jobs, the medical field, information communication technology and finance sectors also form part of the higher paying jobs sector.
Career Junction's data is in-line with a post by Job mail which found the following titles to be among the best paid: architects; software engineer; accountant; petroleum engineers; and computer and information systems managers.

Law, medical specialisation, air traffic controlling and airline piloting are reported as other fields one should look after when considering studying towards a high paying job.
The report further revealed that workers in the engineering field in Gauteng province and the KZN are earning better than their Western Cape counterparts.
Medical staff are earning better in Gauteng when compared to those in the Western Cape. There has been a steep increase in the ICT field recruitment, this makes it evident that the ICT professionals are sought after by recruiters.
