CAPE TOWN - Western Cape will soon have an Invest SA One Stop Shop as President Jacob Zuma will be launching it in Cape Town, early in September.

Dti says the aim of the One Stop Shop is to provide strategic guidance, reduce regulatory inefficiencies, and reduce red tape for all investors looking to invest in the Western Cape.

The centre will be operated by the Department of Trade and Industry,  provincial government and WESGRO.

Minister of Trade and Industry, Rob Davies, said "South Africa has excellent investment opportunities in all sectors of the economy, a host of investment incentives

and industrial financing interventions that are aimed at encouraging commercial activity".

The Western Cape Premier, Helen Zille said the launch of dti initiated Invest SA One Stop Shop will help facilitate access to Western Cape markets for those who wish to do business in the province.

It is understood that this centre comes after business people had on many occasions told the government of the delays incurred when they had to move from one institution to another to obtain licences and other services. Goverment looks to open other centres in Kwazulu Natal and Gauteng soon.
