Currency: New security on bank notes

The Reserve Bank had introduced new security features on bank notes, it said yesterday. “Enhancing features on bank notes is an ongoing process to maintain the highest level of quality and security,” governor Gill Marcus said. The new feature is in the form of dots that will appear on the front and back of all notes. The new notes, which feature the face of former president Nelson Mandela, were introduced 12 months ago. – Sapa
