JOHANNESBURG - Financial services firm UBS has put together a report that details the cost of millennial must-haves across the world.

So what is a millennial you may ask?

The Urban Dictionary defines a millennial as "an identity given to a broadly and vaguely defined group of people that were born between 1981 and 2001".

Millennials are known to be interested in a variety of things. For some of us this may seem strange and unnecessary  but to a millennial, it is a must!

Millennials are known for posting almost everything  on social media. 'Instagramming' your avocado toast and how it may not be relevant  anymore is a weekly occurrence  for the  Millennial - just to give you an example.

But while you may think that  Millennials just seem to care about mundane and irrelevant concepts they contribute significantly to the South African economy.

Keeping up with the latest trends in technology and fashion is just as important as  Keeping up with the Kardashians.

In the study, UBS put together a list of things that are millennial must-haves in 2018, some of the things that are featured in the list are things that millennials use or consume on a daily basis.

These items include an iPhone, a laptop, a pair of jeans, a pair of sneakers, a Netflix subscription, a cup of coffee, a Big Mac and yes.avocados.
