Johannesburg - The risk of power cuts is moderate, with the system expected to become constrained in the afternoon, Eskom said on Monday.
“The risk of load shedding will therefore increase later in the afternoon,” the power utility said.
Stage 2 blackouts were implemented on Saturday as several units were out of service due to planned and unplanned outages.
During Stage 1 blackouts 1 000MW of the national load is cut; 2 000MW during Stage 2; and 4 000MW in Stage 3.
