Petrol price to fall by 22 cents a litre

Johannesburg - The retail price of petrol in South Africa will drop by 22 cents or 1.5 percent a litre from next Wednesday, while wholesale diesel will fall by 1.8 percent, the Department of Energy said on Friday.

Petrol will cost 14.02 rand a litre while the new wholesale price of diesel will be 12.76 rand in the main Gauteng inland region, the department said in a statement. - Reuters
