Johannesburg - South Africa's Reserve Bank is still facing intense challenges and although many of the country's problems are not its mandate it will be mindful of the impact of its policy decisions on economic growth, it said on Wednesday.

“As the global financial crisis mutates into its new phase, the challenges facing the bank remain intense,” the Reserve Bank said its 2013/14 annual report, adding that emerging markets were likely to face a difficult year. - Reuters
