Pretoria - The City of Tshwane has indicated its intention to suspend chief financial officer Andile Dyakala and strategic executive director in the city manager's office Tshilidzi Nemahagala, The Saturday Citizen reported.
Notices of intention to suspend the officials was served on Friday after a committee resolution to this effect, which also authorised disciplinary proceedings to be launched against the pair.
Tshwane spokesman Selby Bokaba said Dyakala was fingered in a forensic probe relating to a printing tender, while Nemahagala faces charges of subordination, harassment and dereliction of duty.
According to the report, Dyakala and Nemahagala had seven days to motivate in writing why they should not be suspended before city manager Jason Ngobeni took a final decision on the matter. - Sapa
