DURBAN - Property listing site Private Property has released their list of the top 10 most expensive estates in Gauteng.

Estates are desirable to future homeowners because of their amazing lifestyle features like golf courses, gyms and walking trails. However, when a prominent address is added to the mix then the demand increases and the mobile investors will pay premium.

These estates are the top 10 most expensive estates based on the median asking price on the Private Property site.

Blair Atholl Estate (Median Asking Price: R15 800 000)

The Blair Atholl Golf and Equestrian Estate offers scenic views of the African countryside because of its location between the Cradle of Humankind and the Renosterspruit Nature Conservatory.

The estate has a serene countryside setting but it is also close by to the city. The estate has amenities like an equestrian centre for horse lovers and a golf course designed by Gary Player.

Helderontein Estate (Median Asking Price: R7 995 000)
