Free unlimited WiFi: Sandton City and Nelson Mandela Square shoppers get more

CAPE TOWN - Sandton City and Nelson Mandela shop pers will get 'connected on the go' as the authorities of these centres have launched a free uncapped WiFi.

Sasha Edel, Communications and PR Manager for Sandton City and Nelson Mandela Square has confirmed that the project was launched last Monday and is currently operational for shoppers.

"We didn't have WiFi in our shopping centres before, this is the first of it's kind," she added.

Liberty Two Degrees' Asset Management Executive for Sandton City and Nelson Mandela Square, Jonathan Sinden said, “At Sandton City and Nelson Mandela Square we want to bring exceptional experiences to our shoppers. This is something that we are focusing on strategically at every touch point, so that our consumers want to stay and play in our spaces. We are confident that the implementation of free and uncapped WiFi for our shoppers is sure to meet the emerging social trends of ‘being connected on-the-go".

According to the statement, browsing the web while shopping will make shoppers experience more dynamic.

Sandton City Shopping centre is is located in Sandton, Johanessburg with more 300 retail stores. Formerly known as Sandton Square, the Nelson Mandela Square is also in the upmarket Sandton surburb.

Both these centres are owned by Liberty Group, Liberty Two Degrees, Pareto Limited, and managed by one of the country’s top commercial property services, JHI Retail.
