INTERNATIONAL - Zimbabwe is expected to benefit from a $2billion (R23.72bn) solar financing facility provided by India to several African countries, Construction Review reported.

It said Zimbabwean vice-president Constantino Chiwenga had met India’s president, Ram Nath Kovind, to discuss how the African country could benefit from the financing agreement.

The discussions also covered construction, agriculture, mining, power, health and pharmaceuticals, with several Indian business people expected in Zimbabwe to explore investment opportunities. The deal is expected to boost Zimbabwe’s electricity supply in rural and urban areas.
