The obscenity of an economic system based on greed when billions don’t have enough to eat. “£28.6-million
The amount of unwanted stock burned by Burberry in 2017 to "protect" its brand.” pic.twitter.com/SwuOnHBoOz
The fact that #Burberry burned millions of pounds worth of clothes instead of giving them to charity and good causes tells you everything you need to know about capitalistic greed.

So @Burberry burned a load of unbought stock as they didn't want to sell it cheap as thought it might make their brand look trashy. That ship sailed 20 odd years ago
So many people in need of professional attire to land jobs. @Burberry could have started a foundation to donate items or sell to benefit NGOs. Unbelievably wasteful and disgustingly selfish.
Er, no @Burberry: "It .worked with specialist companies able to harness the energy from the process in order to make it environmentally friendly." This is certainly not environmentally friendly, but incredibly wasteful & damaging https://t.co/kTaGhZwyoy
if this is true I will NEVER buy or wear @Burberry again and also advise others not to.
