Cape Town - Uber said that its launch in Mombasa on Wednesday brings the smart taxi company's global network to 399 cities.

Mombasa, on the coast of Kenya, is a popular tourist destination and a cultural and economic hub.

Kagure Wamunyu, operations manager for Uber Kenya, said the company was “changing the way Kenyans move around their cities” and “shaping the future of cities across the world”.
