DURBAN - President Jacob will on Saturday launch the KwaZulu Natal InvestSA One Stop Shop at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban.

Province's Premier, Willies Mchunu believes that facility will be very beneficial for the province as it will open doors for global investors to directly invest in KZN's diverse industries.

"Our long-term vision is to become a prosperous province with a healthy, secure and skilled population and acting as a gateway to Africa and the World. As guided by the Provincial Growth and Development Plan, we are focusing on different sectors of the economy such as ICT, maritime, drilling of oil and gas and chemical manufacturing," Mchunu said in a statement.

Mchunu added that KZN government continues to invite potential investors representing these sectors, from other parts of the globe, and directing them to all corners of the province including the Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone and the Dube Trade Port.

KZN InvestSA facility will be the second provincial investment centre, following the Western Cape centre based in Cape Town which was launched in August 2017.

The National InvestSA located in Pretoria, was launched early this year.

The dti says business people had informed government on many occasions of the difficulties and delays they incur when having to move from one department or institution to another to obtain licences and other services, hence government responded accordingly.
