South Africa's all-share index scaled a record peak on Monday as Asian shares rallied in the wake of stronger-than-expected US jobs data and emerging optimism for European action on the debt crisis.

At 09:07 SA time the index was down 0.11 percent after earlier climbing 0.2 percent to a new high of 35,334.19. - Reuters
