Mmamoloko Kubayi.

CAPE TOWN - The Communications Minister, Mmamoloko Kubayi has announced Public Rail Agency of South Africa interim board on Thursday.

Appointed as the chairperson is Advocate Tinstswalo Annah Nana Makhubele, and Dr. Natalie Skeepers, Professor John Maluleke and Magdelene Reddy were appointed board members.

It is understood that Prasa has been under interim management since the departure of its former CEO Lucky Montana in 2015.

Kubayi said the process of appointing the board is not yet complete.

“The transport minister wanted to ensure there is an interim board so work can happen," Kubayi added.

“The departing board does not believe that the minister has Prasa's best interests, and the interests of the public, at heart,” Molefe said in a statement.
