London - After the iPhone and the iPad, Apple may be looking to launch a range of electric cars.

The US computer firm is said to have held talks with vehicle manufacturer Tesla as it seeks to diversify, with the growth in sales of its other products slowing.

Analysts have suggested it may acquire Tesla, which makes the Model S electric car.

Apple is also said to be researching a medical device – a sensor that can predict heart attacks by studying sound blood makes at it flows through arteries.
