CAPE TOWN – Huawei is back with another Porshe device, the Mate 20 RS and just like the others it will also have a hefty price tag between  $1,950 (R27,700)  for the 256GB and $2 410 (R34 000) 512GB. 

The Porshe Mate 20 RS has three cameras: one with a 40-megapixel main camera, a 20-megapixel wide-angle lens, and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera.

The device will come with Huawei's latest Kirin 980 chipset and run on the Android P-based EMUI 9.0.

It will also include a new feature called HiVision, that will help users identify paintings and landmarks using AI, similar to Google Lens. 

An in-screen fingerprint sensor will feature with an option to use facial recognition as security options. 

As for battery power, the Mate 20 RS has a 4,200mAh battery that supports fast charging, but only with compatible wireless chargers.

It has 8GB of RAM and has a water resistance rating of IP68.

The Mate 20 RS comes in black and will be available in most markets besides the US on November 16th. China is getting a limited-edition red version.

South African availability and pricing still need to be announced.
