CAPE TOWN - Vodacom has confirmed that it will soon launch a new content service set to offer a wide selection of media.

The platform will offer many genres and types of content, and will include access to third-party services.

Unlike most streaming services, Vodacom’s platform will offer access to other streaming services.

“Vodacom will launch a new content service in the coming weeks that will offer a variety of content, a Vodacom video service and access to certain third-party content. The new service will be competitively priced and will be supported through discounted data use options such as the recently launched Vodacom Ticket multimedia bundles", said Vodacom spokesperson Byron Kennedy.

Earlier this month, Vodacom launched its Social Ticket products, which promises users discounts of up to 50% on data used for social media, video, music, and gaming.

These "tickets" are essentially data bundles that will help control data usage for apps such as VuClip Videos, Netflix, DStv, YouTube, and many more online platforms.
