CAPE TOWN - Due to technology always changing, many industries especially the music industry and anything related to "talent" is feeling the pressure.

Musicians and other artists need further support to advance economically. Some artist rely on their talents to bring them further in life. When attending AfricaCom, I discovered two platforms that stand for promoting local talent and bridging the gap between technology and Africans being able to showcase their talent.

Here are these platforms:

1. TurnUp Music

TurnUp was launched as a online South African music service. They are focused on promoting local performers that are both established and independent newcomers. TurnUp has been developed in collaboration with WeChat and Endemol Shine Africa and the service was made available through the WeChat app. They are aiming to develop TurnUp into a service that is committed to growing the careers of South African musicians by creating a platform that can help grow their fan base.

2. Bozza Media

Bozza is a website platform for talent discovery and content distribution in Africa. You just have to sign up to create an account and upload your content. Artists can upload their creative works on the Bozza website in order to share them with listeners. You can upload music tracks, videos, poetry and more. You are able to sell your content directly on Bozza to anyone in Africa and around the world. Fans will be able to buy full tracks and videos, using integrated payment gateway designed for mobile users and content.

By doing this, Bozza promises artists that they share all revenue 70/30.  Artist get get 70% and  Bozza gets 30%.
