CALIFORNIA - Instagram has released a new feature that allows friends to live stream together.

The feature will be an option in the form of a request button, that you can select if you feel your presence would add value to your friend's video.

Once accepted by the person who started the live stream , the stream screen divides in half. This will appear horizontally or vertically, based on the orientation you’re watching the stream.

Currently, Instagram only supports multi-user live-streaming between two friends, so someone you do not follow back cannot request to be in your stream. You can remove your guest and add someone else at any time, or they can also choose to exit on their own

These updates are available for iOS in the Apple App Store and for Android in Google Play.
