WASHINGTON - The Nintendo Switch has become very popular according to market research firm, NPD group.
After its launch in March 2017, just over a month the Switch became the fastest-selling console in Nintendo’s history.
According to the NPD, new figures have shown that the sales of the console shows no signs of slowing down. Figures also show that the Nintendo’s flagship console was the number one selling video game hardware device in October.
Nintendo has also announced that it expects to sell 14 million Switch units by the end of March 2018. This amount is fairly larger than their initial estimate of 10 million units.
However, Most of the success of the console is due to theSwitch’s game lineup, including titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Super Mario Odyssey. The recently launched Super Mario Odyssey was also the top selling game of the October, according to NPD.
The company is also reaching out to third-party developers into creating games for its system. In the past, this had been a challenge for the company.
