ISRAEL - Unlike SodaStream’s other mixes, which turn your soda water into soda or lemonade, their new concentrate lets you turn your water into wine.

SodaStream International Ltd announced the launch of its limited edition product, 'Sparkling Gold,' which is a new alcoholic concentrate to be added to sparkling water.

According to the company, this will be the first time SodaStream will be selling an alcoholic mixer for sparkling water. “Sparkling Gold contains 10 percent alcohol by volume when prepared using the recommended mixing ratio of one part 'Sparkling Gold' concentrate to five parts sparkling water” said SodaStream in a statement.

SodaStream claims to have conducted an independent taste test of 100 people in Germany. The results revealed that 76% of people surveyed rated the resulting mixture is on par with actual French champagnes like Moet & Chardon and Veuve Clicquot said the company.

Each bottle of Sparkling Gold mix is enough for 12 glasses of wine. However, it will only be available on the SodaStream Germany online shop.
