Cape Town - The Covid-19 social relief grant can now be collected at Shoprite Group stores nationwide.
After the decision to extend the grant for another 12 months, the Shoprite Group stepped in to make availability easier.
South Africa’s unemployment figures are more than 10 million.
Shoprite Group Financial Services general manager, Jean Olivier, said customers could access the grant at the till point of any Shoprite, Checkers, Usave and selected OK Foods supermarkets nationally.
Customers need to provide their ID and cellphone number. It must be the same phone number they registered on the Sassa database.
