Cape Town - South African Police Services (SAPS) has sent out images of the suspects involved in the Hillsong Church armed robbery that occurred on Monday, October 29.

At the time SAPS spokesperson, Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana confirmed that it was not a hostage situation, as previous reports suggested.

"According to information two suspects, one armed entered the church and robbed the employees inside the premises of their cell phones. The circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation."

SAPS has requested the public's assistance in identifying the men.

"On 2018-10-29 at around 11:00 two armed suspects gained entrance to a church in Century City, Milnerton by pretending to do a delivery. They held staff at gunpoint where after they fled the scene with cash and cellular telephones. They are now wanted on a charge of armed robbery."

Maggie Rowley, Rabie group spokesperson previously said Century City Property Owners’ Association confirmed that one of the robbers tied up a security officer and three cleaning staff, and demanded keys for the safe, which the staff didn’t have.
