Cape Town - Over the weekend, a video posted to the twitter account of the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) went viral, and brought with it some much needed festive cheer.

In the video, one of the members of the NSRI dressed in a Santa Claus outfit took a massive tumble during his entrance in Bakoven, Cape Town.

Just as Santa was ready to greet the crowd with his iconic, "Ho ho ho", he was cut short when he fell off the boat, and was unable to stop the phrase from coming out as, "Ho ho wooah..."

Many were concerned about the Santa's well-being after his tumble, but the NSRI confirmed that he was fine and no bones were broken in the process. 

While the clip is only 20 seconds long, as of Monday it has been viewed nearly 20 000 times on twitter.
