The below is in response to Wednesday's “Did Aunty Pat sell out to ANC, and promote herself over the DA?" letter:

Councillor Yagyah Adams is spot on with his comprehensive speculation.

The answer, Councillor Adams, is a resounding “YES!”

By all accounts it was evident and ironic that while Aunty Pat was a DA executive mayor during council meetings, it was the ANC Caucus that applauded her.

The fickleness of the opposition was palpably sickening in the Chamber.

But then Aunty Pat is a seasoned politician and her party-hopping is on record - from the PAC, to the ID, to the DA, to Good, and now bedfellows with the ANC.

Politics is often labelled a dirty game.

Is Aunty Pat guilty of political prostitution in anticipation of the 2021 municipal elections?
