Allowing polyandry a bad idea

by Sibonelo Nzama

I think we are really misleading our children now. Allowing women to have more that one husband is really against our beliefs. You can look at this in all angles, culture, nature or religion - it is a bad idea for our children.

Dr Motsoaledi should rather be concentrating on sorting the problems facing Home Affairs than engaging in issues that are to confuse our future generation. This really shows that our leaders are confused with things that have nothing to do with their offices.

An absolute NO to polyandry

As a citizen of this country, I see the proposed legislation of polyandry in the Green Paper on marriage before Parliament as destructive and loaded with more harm, as it is no good for all of us in this life and country. Religiously it is a no-no. I disagree to the submission on polyandry.

The submission that women need financial support is not true.

The reason to have this scary law (polyandry) gazetted is to have all foreigners as permanent South African citizens and have our beautiful country taken away from us and our children, where we end up being slaves in our own country.

I disagree to polyandry. A big, heaven-sourced no!

Surprise at reaction to polyandry Green Paper

I was a bit surprised by all the negative reactions expressed in your headline article.

Surely a bit of solidarity among the ladies’ husbands would enable we males to get away with a lot more?

And a tongue-lashing shared, is a tongue-lashing halved.

Could be the answer to a lot of issues…
