It is with hope and excitement that Pinpoint Stewards will be hosting the “It’s DUE”– Women & Leadership Conference to Develop, Unite and Empower Women in Government, SOEs and Business on September 28 and 29 at the Oubaai Hotel & Spa in George.

The organisers’ prayers were answered when President Ramaphosa recently announced that venue capacity woud be increased and this was the lifeline they were hoping for to not have to show delegates away.

As a women-owned, training and conferencing organisation, they had all the experience in the world to host an event of this magnitude but barriers and restrictions were stifling their progress.

Now their “get out of the boat” attitude to hosting a face-to-face event is now a reality.

They never stopped dreaming, trying and actioning. With the help of media partner Cape Argus who ensured equal reporting of a women event, it was widely publicised.

De Grendel Wines also came on board as a gift sponsor and women can look forward to a speaker line-up to be remembered long after they return to the office, coupled with after-hours activities to relax and network.

Fourteen women in top positions, across industry sectors and various provinces have committed their diaries to ensure the event will be a memorable learning experience. The organisers are overwhelmed by the fact that, in these times of disconnect, women leaders and organisations alike are still investing time and money in grooming women leaders.

Women attending this conference will have the opportunity to introspect and also evaluate the structures within their organisations to better develop, support and sustain women in their places of work.

Yes, many women are empowered but the time is now, for leaders to eradicate dysfunctional organisational systems, build healthier workplace cultures and create more equitable opportunities for everyone in the organisations.

Why now? “In an uncertain world, it’s been challenging to keep our work identity and stay motivated in unstable circumstances. But sometimes being off-balance forces us on a different path – where we belong. We want women to keep looking up and moving forward no matter the circumstances and motivating and connecting with other women … it’s due.” Owners words: Ankia & Sudhira.

The conference will also fiercely tackle gender based violence plaguing many nations today, therefore 10% of the profits will be donated to the Survivor Foundation and Salvation Army.

The conference seeks to develop, unite and empower women, who have excelled in government, business, entrepreneurship, governance and self-empowerment to in turn, empower others and bring hope to women across the globe.

We also encourage university and high schools to connect with us via video conferencing, as part of supporting young women to lead – send us an email today.

Pinpoint Stewards have experience in training and conferences for more than 20 years and is 100% women owned and a Level 2 B-BBEE company.

It’s due and we hope to see you soon! Contact us today to reserve your seat by emailing [email protected]
