ACCOMPLISHED bluesman Gerald Clark is currently on a nationwide tour, titled Fire, for the the months of October and November.

Fans can see Clark this Saturday at 7pm at The Bootlegger Coffee Company in Greenpoint (tickets at the door), on October 23 at 5pm at Rhythms On The Stoep in Paternoster (tickets at the door), on October 27 at 7pm at popular Cafe Roux in Noordhoek (tickets at cafe, October 28 at 8pm at The Bordienhuis Teater in Wellington (tickets at the door).

Clark is a singer and songwriter famous for his gravelly voice that reaches the soul and honesty of the blues.

He has released four albums of which one, Sweepslag, was nominated for a South African Music Award (SAMA).

Clark’s second album, Black Water, gave him international success when the title track’s music video was nominated for an MTV Europe Animation Award.

In April 2016, the performer received a WoordTroFee nomination for the Best Solo Act at the Stellenbosch Woordfees.

He will embark on a tour to Belgium and the Czech Republic after his current Fire tour.

Clark has developed dynamic musical ideas and brought it to life whilst collaborating with the country’s best musicians in his latest and 4th offering, namely AfroBoer & The Golden Goose. He wrote the album over the course of two years and recorded it in a historic farmhouse in Wellington, Western Cape in January 2015.

He is also more than just a talented musician, and has also produced a show at the Barnyard Theatre in 2014, and he is ardently involved with charity.

He has released a music video for his song, Fire. This single comes from his latest album, AfroBoer & The GoldenGoose, which was released in November 2015. He says that Fire is about “passion and fulfilling your purpose in life”.
