Cape Town - With only two days left until the end of the month, Juanita Pieters is still unsure when she will be moving into the house promised to her by the president.

Speaking from hospital on Wednesday, a groggy-sounding Pieters said she was told her house was ready, but she did not know when she would be able to move in.

Days before her murdered daughter, Courtney, was buried, President Jacob Zuma told Pieters that her family would receive a home of their own through the Jacob Zuma Foundation.

They were expected to move in on Saturday.

After a week of enquiries by the Cape Times, the foundation was not forthcoming, despite acknowledging the receipt of questions.

Pieters said earlier this month, before celebrating what would have been Courtney’s "crown birthday", that they would be moving into their new home by the end of September.

According to Pieters, she was previously told the delay was due to her still being married to her estranged husband, and their divorce had to be finalised before handing over her home.

Pieters said she was admitted to hospital earlier this week: “I spoke confusingly, my eyes rolled back in my head and I collapsed.”

Pieters said while she was in hospital a representative from the foundation contacted Aaron Fourie (Courtney's father).

“They called him to let him know the house is there and we can move in but now I am in hospital. I don’t want to be here long,” Pieters said.

A woman, who would not give her name, said Dudu Myeni from the president’s foundation would call back by the end of Wednesday, but no call was received from Myeni and no response was given to e-mail enquiries.
