Cape Town - The family of 60-year-old Lebohang Moshoeshoe from Kraaifontein have appealed for any information that could help locate the missing woman.

According to her granddaughter Mpholoseng Machile, the 60-year-old was last seen at around midday on Monday wearing a brown shweshwe skirt, brown shoes, and a black jersey.

“The family would like to locate her whereabouts because she is an old fragile woman who suffers from depression.

She was fine when she left home because she took her ID document with her, she might have had an episode and got lost.

“We would appreciate any assistance in locating because she is the elder of the family.”

Machile said that the mother of three was well known and understood in the community and they fear that something bad might have happened to her.

“We believe that if she was around the community people would have brought her back.

“With everything that is happening with the abuse of women and children we just want her back home where we know she is safe.

No one just disappears into thin air just like this, but we remain hopeful that she will be found and urge anyone who has any information to contact the police or take her to the nearest police station.”

Police spokesperson Andre Traut said the woman was reported missing from June 21.

“The disappearance of Moshoeshoe is still under investigation.”

Any person with information regarding her whereabouts is kindly requested to contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or SMS Crime Line on 32211.
