Fury over 17-year-old girl's brutal killing at Westridge church

Cape Town – Police are investigating a case of murder after a 17-year-old was found stabbed to death in Westridge, Mitchells Plain, yesterday.

Reports allege suspects broke

into a house near the church the teenager attends, and she was stabbed while leaving the church. It is believed her body was found by her father.

“Mitchells Plain police are investigating a case of murder after a 17-year-old girl was found with a stab wound to her chest.

She died due to her injuries. The circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation with no arrest so far,” police spokesperson Noloyiso Rwexana said.

Social media was inundated by upset residents fuming over the incident.
