Cape Town - The police are desperately searching for leads that could help them find Marceline Spandiel, an 11-year-old girl from Ravensmead, Cape Town, who went missing on July 10, 2018.

She was last seen in the company of her twin brother at the Belhar train station, and is believed to have gotten onto the train without him.

The Delft Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Violence unit (FCS) has been searching for the little girl, to no avail. 

"Delft FCS seek the assistance of the community in locating the whereabouts of a missing child, Marceline Spandiel, 11 years old," police spokesperson Noloyiso Rwexana said.

"According to reports the girl was last seen with her twin brother in Belhar train station on 2018-07-10. 

"She told him to get on the train with her and he refused and she left without him. During the time of her disappearance she was wearing a blue long sleeve shirt with grey tracksuit pants.

"Anyone who has seen Marceline Spandiel is requested to contact the investigating officer Sergeant Dale Franks  on  072 145 4163," she said.
